The Spoonfed Comedy team selects the top five gigs in London this February.

Saturday 5th February
Live at the Chapel featuring Stephen Merchant @ Union Chapel

It's another top Live At The Chapel line-up this month, headed by BAFTA/ Emmy and British Comedy Award-winning comedian, Stephen Merchant. Supporting him (although all these comics are headliners really), will be brilliant comedy rapper Doc Brown, political satirist and Bugle podcaster Andy Zaltzman and top American comedian Dave Hill (doing a short spot as part of his whistlestop UK tour). Seamlessly holding the gig together will be hilarious Kiwi and cracking compere, Jarred Christmas.

Monday 7th-Saturday 19th February
Kevin Eldon is Titting About
@ Soho Theatre

Cult comedy favourite and Brass Eye star Kevin Eldon brings his Edinburgh smash hit show to the Soho Theatre. A gifted actor and comedy chameleon of sorts, Eldon packs all his comedic talents in here: characters, songs, parodies, poetry and stand-up. Imagine him as a moreish bag of comedy allsorts if you will. Impressive and very funny stuff.

Wednesday 9th February
McNeil and Pamphilon's Sketch Night @ Albany Lowdown

If there was a prize for top sketch bill of the month, we reckon this gig would win it. Featuring 2010 Edinburgh 'Best Newcomer' nominees Late Night Gimp Fight, twisted sister duo Toby, the darkly comic Beta Males Picnic, creepily realistic character comic Colin Hoult and more, this will be a quality night of entertainment in the Lowdown basement.

Wednesday 9th-Sunday 13th February

Sandra Bernhard @ Leicester Square Theatre

Outspoken American (and former squeeze of Madonna), lesbian comic Sandra Bernhard has been combining stand-up and rock 'n' roll for 25 years, winning over audiences with her acidic celebrity put-downs, satirical humour and sultry songs. Expect some sharp one-liners (e.g."My father was a proctologist and my mother was an abstract artist, so that's how I view the world"), darkly comic monologues and songs from her latest album, Whatever It Takes.

Monday 14th and Monday 28th February
The Horne Section @ Lyric Theatre

Alex Horne's jazz-comedy party has been gathering momentum since it started last summer, moving from Edinburgh to Camden's Invisible Dot studios, the Soho Theatre, Islington's Union Chapel and now the West End's Lyric. Where next guys - The o2?! Held on fortnightly Tuesdays until the end of March, February's gigs will see special guests including ace musical comedian and Edinburgh award-winner Tom Basden, hula hoop acrobat Kalki Hula girl, comedy rapper Doc Brown and beatboxing/a capella six-piece band the Magnets doing their thing to a live jazz accompaniment.
