Golden Silvers to play with Simian Mobile Disco at Get Loaded in the Dark New Year’s Eve Party

Get Loaded in the Dark, the New Year’s Eve event at the o2 Academy Brixton, have just announced they are adding next-ginormous-things Golden Silvers to the bill. They will be supporting headline act Simian Mobile Disco and Chase and Status at a night hoping to give the next decade the warmest of welcomes. Other acts lined up so far include Radio 1's Annie Mac, Hervé and Sub Focus.

Having spent the last year being tipped for greatness everywhere from NME to your gran's house, the seemingly ubiquitous Golden Silvers will be looking to start off the New Year as they wish to go on; in front of a sell-out crowd at a major venue. Not they are strangers to such a thing, after NME picked them to headline their 2009 Radar Tour, following in the footsteps of La Roux, Crystal Castles and, unfortunately, Maximo Park.

Meanwhile, Simian Mobile Disco always produce a memorable show, so if you don't want to spend New Year's Eve on the sofa, resentfully jealous of the smiling faces at Jools' Hootenanny, there are worse ways to spend it than in Brixton. More special guests are promised too, and chances are they're more fun than your weird uncle or the old couple from next door.
