After reforming Blur, writing an album of traditional folk and school folk and playing this year's iTunes festival, Graham Coxon only gone and collected up some of Britain's best folk musicians for a special show at The Barbican on November 28th. Does this guy ever sleep?

Featuring many of the musicians who play on his current album 'The Spinning Top' Coxon has expanded his power trio into The Graham Coxon Power Acoustic Ensemble, and together with guest appearances from fellow exponents of the British folk scene, they will be playing the record in it's entirety plus some of the songs that inspired it's creation at this special concert.

Something of a departure from his usual power pop, the album tells the tale of one man's jouney from birth to death. 'I wanted to show how exciting acoustic instruments can be', explains Coxon, 'how dynamic and rich and heart-thumpingly raw they can sound at a time when acoustic music seems either too cute or too soppy'.

The Barbican show will see the singer-songwriter joined Robyn Hitchcock, Martin Carthy, Natasha Marsh and Max Eastley, with a unique set of visuals made by Chris Hopwell, who is known for his previous work with Radiohead, as wellworking with Graham on the video for 'In The Morning' and the current video for 'Dead Bees'.
