Sitting around turning leathery in the sun just doesn't do it for the more adventurous among us - why sit in the sun when you could be skiing or snowboarding this summer?

Tempting as the long hot days of July and August are, summer isn't for everyone. Sitting around turning leathery in the sun just doesn't do it for the more adventurous among us. A welcome hideaway for those with itchy feet looking for a challenge this summer is The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead. This July and August they're offering masses of deals to welcome skiers and snowboarders of all levels to the world of indoor winter sports and freestyle events.

For novices keen to take on a challenge and get some adrenaline pumping through their veins there are junior passes going for as little as £25 for four hours. If you consider yourself a more confident boarder, then The Snow Centre will become your sanctuary this summer. Their dedicated freestyle events range from their progressive Park and Ride to their classic crystal white slope.

Park and Ride constantly pushes the boundaries of park plans with a dedicated team of park shapers -what a job title!- coming up with new, adventurous features. For those who like a more classic slope, The Snow Centre are offering two hours for the price of one Monday-Thursday for your own freestyle practice.

We feel obliged to warn you that this place is going to get booked up fast so for more details on how to book see The Snow Centre website.
