We have an opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Intern at Spoonfed HQ.
We're looking for someone to help our team highlight our best content, engage with our users, give them more of what they want and increase our prominence on social networking sites. If you fit the bill and impress us with your quick, entertaining writing skills and strategic use of social media, then we’d be excited to work with you over a three month placement.
Essential info:
Spoonfed.co.uk is one of the busiest listings sites in London, offering an alternative view on the city’s culture and nightlife, from clubbing and gigs to comedy, art, theatre and leisure.
The site offers previews of thousands of events, as well as news, reviews, features and guides. We’re looking for an exceptional, young marketing graduate to spend three months with us working on developing the way we communicate with our readership and helping to manage our social networking presence.
Here's what we're hoping to give you:
The opportunity to help Spoonfed develop as a brand and develop our communication strategy
The chance to write quick, topical news stories and head up Spoonfed’s news section.
Responsibility for the day-to-day running our Facebook and Twitter accounts
Run competitions and promotions through our website, Facebook and Twitter
The challenge of creating a newsletter to go out to our 30,000 subscribers.
Here's what we're hoping you'll have:
Seriously impressive organisational skills.
Engaging online communication skills
Knowledge of various social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google +
The ability to analyse and evaluate statistics
A reasonable knowledge of London’s culture and nightlife
Some experience using Wordpress, although this isn't essential.
Though our internships are unpaid, we do provide a travel allowance and ensure your time with us is meaningful experience complete with training in production skills, online marketing and SEO – we give graduates on the scheme every support in building their portfolio, which will help in finding future work.
Our internship placements are offered in line with the Internship Charter produced by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
How to apply:
Send your CV and covering letter to live@spoonfed.co.uk explaining why you'd like to work with us, your ideas about promoting Spoonfed content and which skills you'd like to master while you're here.
