The Spoonfed Team select the top five plays taking place in London throughout January 2011.

From 4th January
Potting Shed @ Finborough Theatre
This has already been on at Finborough Theatre, and is now back for a longer run. A man searches for his childhood memories after becoming estranged from the rest of his family.
From 5th January
A Doll's House @ Theatre Delicatessen
This looked interesting even before we had a quick chat with director Frances Loy. A Doll's House is one of the first feminist plays and this all-female production takes a good look at whether feminist issues have changed that much. Click here for a full preview.
From 13th January
Becky Shaw @ Almeida
The American production of Becky Shaw did pretty darn well and is now having its UK premiere with the same director. It's a comedy about a lot of things - money, moral responsibility, honesty, white lies – but relationships are key with blind dates, failing marriages and affairs all over it. From 14th Janurary
Tiger Country @ Hampstead Theatre
It sounds exotic, but it's actually based in a London hospital and is all about the consequences of slip-ups. If that isn't enough enticement, then it's by Nina Raine, who recently wrote Rabbit and Tribes, so we're keeping an eye on this one to see what this promising writer does next.
From 22nd January
The Children's Hour @ Comedy Theatre
We can't not mention the one people are going to be talking about: Exploring a culture of fear, the play follows two women who set up an all girls' school in the '30s. Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss star and Ian Rickson directs.
