July: London Live Music

by: Spoonfed Team

We take a peek at what's coming up on the post-Glastonbury come down that is London's live music scene

5th July
OFGKTA @ Electric Ballroom

Possibly one of the best live bands we've seen for a very, very long time, OFWGKTA are either the saviours of rap or a horribly sick inside joke that only skinny white people get. Either way, when these guys rock, they rock hard.

9th July

1-2-3-4 Shoreditch Festival @ Shoreditch Park

Headlined by Black Lips and featuring pretty much everyone whose anyone in the East End music scene, The 1-2-3-4 is back at Shoreditch Park for another day of cold beer and rad partying.

12th July

Avi Buffalo @ The Scala
Avi Buffalo are from Long Beach California, and we all know Californians know how to have a good time. This cutesy indie-pop band play the kind of songs designed for lazy summer afternoons, ideal if you've got a beach to listen to them, but King's Cross stands in just as well.

21st July
Vivian Girls
@ XOYO
One of the best bands to come out of Brooklyn in decades, The Vivian Girls are riding high on the a success built on a moody blend of Phil Spector-style pop, C86 indie, punk and shoegaze

23rd July
I'll Be Your Mirror @ Alexandra Palace

The list of ridiculously awesome upcoming ATP gigs is already as long as your arm, but the guys have really outdone themselves with this year's, brand new 'I'll be Your Mirror Festival' up in Alexandra Palace. Curated by Portishead who will be playing both nights, the 2 day sway-a-thon will also feature sets from Liars, MF Doom, Swans, Grinderman, Beachhouse and DD/MM/YYYY.
