Every Thursday
Spoonfed Edinburgh Previews @ Crack Comedy
Yes, the Edinburgh preview season is now underway and this year, we thought we'd get involved with the madness. We've got together with the good folks at Crack Comedy Club to present two previews a week for the next two months, from some of the best comedians on the circuit, including Richard Herring, Shappi Khorsandi, Simon Munnery, Nick Helm, Andrew Lawrence and Paul Sinha. A great chance to hear some all new material for bargain prices, Spoonfed readers can get a 50% discount either by quoting 'Spoonfed' on the door or when booking online.
Every Tuesday
Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown @ The Phoenix
A brand new comedy night from award-winning sketch team Pappy’s, the show features some really good special guests and mixes stand-up, sketch and character comedy with a new audio podcast - Flatshare Slamdown. Set in Pappy’s flat – with landlord Matthew in charge – you can watch unruly tenants Ben and Tom battle to avoid doing annoying household chores.
Friday 3rd June
Jerry Seinfeld Live @ O2 Arena
Tickets for the sitcom star's one off UK gig are expensive but that's unlikely to deter the diehard Seinfeld fans. Expect musings on life, love and er, golf from the American legend. Seinfeld was the most successful sitcom in US history, running for nine seasons from 1989 to 1998. Since the show finale, the New York comic has co-written the animated movie Bee Movie, worked on NBC’s reality TV series The Marriage Ref and toured America extensively.
Saturday 18th June
Bo Burnham @ Shepherd's Bush Empire
Internet sensation and hit of the Fringe star, Bo Burnham is performing in London for one night only as part of his first UK tour. Last year, the 20 year-old musical comedian garnered a plethora of 5 star reviews, received the 'Spirit of the Fringe Award', and became the youngest performer ever to be nominated for the 'Best Show Award' at the Edinburgh Fringe. Not bad for someone who forged his career uploading quirky videos to YouTube as a teenager.
Monday 20th June
Phil Kay's Freewheelin Mirth Pedlar @ Udderbelly
If you prefer to enjoy comedy shows relaxed in a chair with a beer in hand, you might want to stay clear of this one. Edinburgh Festival favourite Phil Kay is performing his latest show on two wheels - and he wants you to join in. Meet at Udderbelly an hour before the show (8pm) for a magical, mystery, hysterical tour of the Southbank on bikes, unicycles, tandems and trikes, before returning to the big purple cow for a more traditional gig. Well, as 'traditional' as a Phil Kay gig can be...
