Katherine Jenkins will become the first classical singer to headline G-A-Y on 24th October. In an attempt to diversify her audience, she has agreed to play the gig which is taking place at Heaven.
She's not the obvious choice to head the line up at the cheesy pop loving club, considering the pop tarts that G-A-Y usually haul in to top the bill. Their stage has seen the likes of Madonna, Kylie, and Lady GaGa, and will soon welcome Britney Spears to its gay hall of fame.
However world famous mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins says 'I can’t wait to perform at G-A-Y – it's something I've always wanted to do!' Perhaps not the obvious ambition for a classical singer, yet Jenkins has been very busy preparing for it. 'We're planning an amazing show for the night! Let's just say, you can expect something very spectacular! My glam squad and I are busy planning everything at the moment.' Sounds like she'll fit right in!
