To celebrate the anniversary of the Camden band's 30th birthday, those Madness mods have just announced that that they will play London gigs as part of the Regent Street Festival next month. This special performance coincides with Absolute Radio's first birthday who will be giving away 1500 tickets to lucky winners. For those without tickets, it Suggs to be you, but you will still be able to see the gig on big screens across Regent Street. Madness recently reformed and have been enjoying a resurgence in success after the release of their new album, The Liberty of Norton Folgate, of which the new single Sugar and Spice is now available to download. The current Madness line-up includes 5 members. If you're lacking knowledge in Madness songs, we're sure there will be a good old cockney knees-up with their classics Our House, Baggy Trousers and One Step Beyond...
The Regent Street Festival is now in its 10th year running and this year's theme is 'Birthdays'. Money raised from the event goes towards the UK's Cancer Research centre, so dig deep and give a little (or a lot!) From noon until 8pm attendees can be treated to more bands, giant birthday cakes, circus rides, street performers, fashion shows and much much more. If it all gets too much, then why not head off to the food quarter for a feast of delights, and maybe a sneaky cocktail or two...
The Regent Street Festival takes place on Sunday, 27th September. The event is free, but to win tickets to the Madness gig, you'll need to answer the following question:
How many people are in the current Madness line-up?
Text your answers to 81215 (texts cost £1.50, check the Regent Street Festival website for details)
