May: London Clubbing

by: Spoonfed Team

The Spoonfed Team select the top five club nights taking place in London throughout May 2011.

secretsundaze Opening Party @ secret location

1st May

secretsundaze are back - and not a moment too soon. Smith and Priestley's summer institution is a true original which contrasts the dingy atmosphere of most daytime parties and still retains a considerable edge over similar efforts.
Today marks the official opening of the day-rave de jour for the summer season. Helping to supply the sunshine techno and stripped back house is Detroit wunderkid Kyle Hall (Wild Oats) - with more guests to be announced.

Warm with The Revenge & 6th Borough Project @ Plastic People

13th May

Scotland's finest in the house. Super producers The Revenge and 6th Borough Project come south of the border to show London's house and disco crowd how it's done. Both acts have set dancefloors alight in recent years with their productions and edits and their mixes can be regularly heard echoing around the confines of Spoonfed Towers. Put simply, you'd be a fool to miss this.

Warm & Electric Minds party @ secret location

27th May

Two giants of the London party scene come together to bring the capital one of the best line-ups you're likely to see this side of Christmas.
Talent like Berlin producer Efdemin, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Ben UFO and Optimo all under one roof will surely make for a night of brilliantly eclectic tunes aimed at the dancefloor. Expect deep house, dubstep and who knows what else at a secret Shoreditch location.

20:20 Vision @ Village Underground

29th May

Sometimes you can't recommend a party enough. This latest instalment from 2020Vision is probably one of those parties. Appearing are two names that have got the Spoonfed HQ in a tizzy over the last year : Maya Jane Coles and Jozif, nevermind ones to watch for the future, you're eyes and ears should be firmly locked on them already. 2020 boys Simon Baker, Ralph Lawson, Danny Raper and Ewan Pearson will also be strutting their stuff on the night, as well as Mark E, fresh from a storming appearance at Plastic People a few weeks ago.

Eastern Electrics @ secret location

29th May

Bloc, mulletover and Benji B's Deviation are in charge at this May Bank Holiday's Eastern Electrics. Always brilliant, they line-up announcements just keep on coming. They've only gone and added Lone to the Bloc room - plus legends of Chicago house Virgo to Benji B's Deviation room. This edition also boasts techno overlord James Holden and man of bass brilliance Martyn in the Bloc room, DJ Koze heading up mulletover and Loefah, Actress and Braiden in the Deviation room.
Better and better.
