Mika Tries Naked Blogging To Crack Pop Charts

Mika had promised fans that he would strip off and post a naked blog on his fansite if new single 'We Are Golden' hits the top 3 in the UK Top 40 this week. His announcement sparked a buying frenzy among Mika fans. They are now going to have to cross fingers that he will honour the promise if he charts higher than his current position (number 8) this Sunday.

Blogger Perez Hilton ordered several copies, urging his followers on Twitter to do the same; 'We need to make this happen' he squealed, while Mika posted  an update late last night that the song had climbed to number 8. 'The game is still on' he mused... offering hope to fans who want to see the man naked.

Mika's titillating stunt is the latest in a series of high-profile attempts to bust the Top 10. Peter Andre narrowly missed the top spot in August despite selling his song 'Behind Closed Doors' for just 29p. It remains to be seen whether there are enough people out there who want to see Mika's junk, to break the top 3 – but it does seem rather likely.

Here at Spoonfed, we think he should combine the nakedness with the obligatory phone call from Fearne and Reggie over at Radio One. And if he gets to number one, Mika should perform the song live from his hot-tub, covered in baby oil and using a high voltage remote microphone. We'd watch that.
