Pamela Anderson, Paul O'Grady and two other mystery guest stars are set to play the infamous panto Genie of the Lamp opposite Brian Blessed's baddie Abanazar in Aladdin this Christmas at New Wimbledon Theatre.

Though she has confessed, she wasn't entirely sure what pantomime was all about until her British manager clued her up; this will be her London Theatre debut. She's graciously embraced British pantomime tradition and will don sequins and be painted blue or green for the role. Glad to be taking on a light-hearted part, Pam's looking forward to 'irresponsible fun', though not for the first time, and delighting in 'making kids laugh' which she describes as just her 'cup of tea', a phrase probably also explained by the British manager.

Confirmed guest star Paul O'Grady will also be appearing as the genie in the final week of the show's run in his first panto since 2005. Though he usually plays the villain, we'll get to see Paul's softer side. Commenting on the different castings, a spokesman for the theatre said: "We hope they will all bring something completely different to the role."Leading the cast, possibly on the scariness of his voice alone, Brian Blessed will be chief villain throughout the production.

The Baywatch babe will be appearing between December 13th and 27th.
