Pavement to Curate ATP Next Year

Pavement to Curate ATP Next Year

You'll want to be sitting down for this –  indie rock legends Pavement are set to curate one of next year's ATP Festivals and play what is at the moment their only UK date at the same event.

The band, acclaimed as one of the most influential of their generation, reunited after 10 years of speculation and extremely polite answers to the constant hassling from fans. They're set to make appearances on stages the world over throughout 2010.

Renowned for the thrilling ride of their live shows, Pavement's unique sense of wit, style and pop chaos ensured the band's iconoclastic run of LPs, from 'Slanted & Enchanted' to 'Terror Twilight', is the most assured canon in all of indie-rock. They set the template for pretty much everything else that’s followed.

For those All Tomorrow's Parties guys, the news adds to a remarkable run of success. Not only do the promoters have their 10 Year Anniversary Festival and annual Nightmare Before Christmas shin-digs coming up in December, they have also been peddling ATP: The Movie to critical acclaim across the globe.

Pavement Curated ATP takes place 14.14 May 2010 at Butlin's holiday camp in Minehead, Somerset. Ticket for the event go on sale tomorrow at 9am, with chalet tickets starting from £160.
