Peep Show's Robert Webb Slates Own Work

Comedian and star of Peep Show Robert Webb has slagged off the  reality show he narrates. In an unusual but amusing outburst he has disowned his own work on BBC Three's Young, Dumb and Living off Mum.

In an interview with The Sun published today, he said: 'It's a reality show where t**ts aged 17 to 25 live in a house together and have big, stupid rows which I narrate, and then, amazingly, the feckless idiot parents get to vote for the least annoying one and whoever is left, by default, wins the show.'

He also dismissed his poor choice of programme saying: 'I think I injected a sufficient amount of disdain into that voiceover. I did it for the money, of course - the money. And I spent that disdainfully too.'

Webb and comedy partner David Mitchell have in the past been accused of selling out with their adverts for Apple Macs. At the time Webb argued: 'Do you want to do some funny ads for not many days in the year and be paid more than you would be for an entire series of Peep Show?' the answer, obviously, is, 'Yeah, that's fine'. While Mitchell agrees YDALOM is a load of rubbish, citing it as 'a personality paralympics', he has defended Webb's decision explaining: 'You feel a fool if you don't do voice-overs. It's money for what is essentially reading out.'
