Political escapades for us to get our teeth stuck into.

In his latest work, Generous, multi-award winning playwright Michael Healy questions the concept of the selfless act. Following fantastic reviews after runs in North America, Generous comes to London’s Finborough Theatre this January. Rare though the notion may be, this production explores what happens when a person is overwhelmed with the urge to help.
A slick oil executive decides to tell a journalist the truth, whilst a young law clerk and an aging judge allow us to earwig on their excruciating pillow talk as a minority government is on the verge of collapse. You can expect interconnecting stories, the filling of moral vacuums, the torturing of many consciences and the covering of acres of social and emotional ground.
Falling into the same category as A Real Humane Person Who Cares And All That, Generous has an impressive structure, a terribly witty script, hilarious political and corporate characters and a smattering of gore.
Generous is at the Finborough Theatre until 30.01.10
