Record Breaking Halloween Protest

Record Breaking Halloween Protest

15 October, 2009
by: Spoonfed Team

On Friday 30th October at 5:30pm, scores of demonstraters will gather on Parliament Square in fancy dress to express their dissatisfaction with the First-Past-The-Post Voting system.

The demo is organised by Vote For Change - a group who are demanding a referendum on electoral reform. They believe that a fairer way of electing MPs would lead to people who better reflect our diverse, modern society being elected.

They are attempting the largest ever costume protest, with demonstrators coming as 'undead voters' in scary Halloween costumes.

Everyone who attends gets free entry to the official protest after-party - the venue of which remains a secret until the day itself.
