Neil Hamburger: Discounted Entertainer @ Soho Theatre

America's brand of comedy marmite, Neil Hamburger has to be one of the most uncompromising and inventive comedans around. Constantly subverting comedy conventions and always performing kamikaze recklessness, here he brings his brand new show to the Soho Theatre direct from the Edinburgh Fringe.

Monday 5th-Sunday 11th September
Greenwich Comedy Festival
@ Old Royal Navy College

As part of the Greenwich Comedy Festival on the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College this month, a series of the circuit's best comedians, including Tim Minchin, Tim Key, Milton Jones, Omid Djalili, Sean Lock, Rich Hall and Phil Jupitus, will hit the festival's Big Top tent each night for what will no doubt be some unforgettable sets.

Friday 9th September
Bug: The Evolution of Music Video with Adam Buxton @ King's Place

Comedian, writer and music video director Adam Buxton hosts this special Kings Place Festival edition of his sell-out BFI residency show BUG, which aims to showcase the most creative and innovative music videos currently around. From clips made by a 17-year old with a stills camera to Michel Gondry, from YouTube viral hits to the latest stuff from the top directors and artists, Buxton will showcase his favourite music video talent peppered with his own insightful and hilarious contributions.

Saturday 24th September
Simon Munnery: Hats off to the 101ers
@ Leicester Square Theatre

Alternative legend Simon Munnery presents the premiere of his finished, brand new show: a one-man musical about the R101 airship of 1930. Plus poems, jokes, aphorisms, anecdotes and monologues, performed with a plum. Or some other fruit.

Thursday 29th-Friday 30th September
Alan Davies: Work in Progress
@ Pleasance Theatre

QI and Jonathan Creek star Alan Davies brings his new work-in-progress show to the Pleasance this autumn. The comedian's first full-length solo show in a decade, this will no doubt be a popular gig.
