From 2nd September
Disco Pigs @ Young Vic
Enda Walsh's story of soul mates Pig and Runt and the closeness that begins to put their friendship in danger is given a new production at the Young Vic, directed by 2011 JMK Award-winner Cathal Cleary.

From 7th September
The Wild Bride @ Lyric Hammersmith
Kneehigh continue in their tradition of adaptation with this darkly romantic new version of a classic fairytale. The wild bride of the title is a brave and feisty young woman who is betrayed by her father and forced to wander in the wilderness.

From 14th September
A New Play by Mike Leigh @ National Theatre, Cottesloe
Mike Leigh puts his own unique method of improvisational theatre-making into practice again to create a new play for the National Theatre. The details are still very much under wraps, but with Leigh reunited with frequent collaborators including Lesley Manville and Wendy Nottingham, great things could be on the cards.

From 17th September
Playboy of the Western World @ Old Vic
Everyone's favourite misfit Robert Sheehan takes to the stage of the Old Vic in J M Synge's 1907 play about a young boy on the run in a small Irish town and the vicarious pleasure that the locals take from hearing about his exploits.

From 23rd September
Cool Hand Luke @ Aldwych Theatre
This classic story about the ultimate rebel, made famous by Paul Newman in the 1967 film, receives a new stage adaptation at the Aldwych Theatre, starring Marc Warren in the lead role. We took a look at the difficulties of adaptation in our preview.
