Sonic Youth and Shellac announce ATP gig

New Year's Eve 2010 just got a whole lot better...

Does your New Year's Eve always suck? If you go out you face nightmarish transport arrangements, queue for hours to get a drink and end up spending a small fortune. And if you stay in you invariably spend your evening depressed, watching Jools ‘’boogie-woogie’’ Holland and friends systematically murdering every song you ever loved.

This year the good people at ATP have decided to remedy this with their first ever New Year's Eve gig, Strange Days at the Hammersmith Apollo. And who better to see in 2011 with than noise rock legends Sonic Youth and the mighty Shellac? With support from Factory Floor and guest DJs still to be announced, Strange Days is definitely worth braving public transport for. Plus if you manage to get to the bar the drinks are reasonably priced at £2.80 for a bottle of Carlsberg or house vodka and mixer.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday 29th September at 9am and will probably sell out pretty fast, so get in early as this has the potential to be the greatest New Year you will ever have. Buy them here.
