Contrary to popular belief, Pulp aren't reforming and aren't playing the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury next year. According to Jarvis Cocker at any rate, and let's be honest, Pulp without Cocker isn't really Pulp.
Yep, despite being splashed all-over the Sunday newspapers, the Sheffield-based indie heroes look like they’re staying dead. Speaking to Teletext's Planet Sound, Cocker laid rest to any rumours, saying, "I can categorically tell Teletext that Pulp has no plans to get back together. Someone asked me if I fancied playing at the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury, I said yes, they twisted that into a 'Pulp reform' story. It's not true."
This whole saga proves three things, 1. Britpop is dead (official). 2. Public Enemy were on to something when they said 'don't believe the hype' and 3. People should really check Teletext from time to time.
