South East in East Venue Change

Hello festival goers. As you may or may not be aware, this weekend is not only host to the massive Notting Hill Carnival, but also the opening of the South East In East festival. A hotbed of creative talent, the festival showcases some of the best in live music and art, offering a week long round of exhibitions, workshops, film screenings and music.

However, most importantly in recent news, there have been a number of changes to this year’s festival which Spoonfed feels it’s our duty to our friends at South East in East to inform the rest of you.

Below you can find a full run down of the changes that have been made to the opening weekend:

FRIDAY THE 28th. OPENING NIGHT

Is now only FOUR POUNDS instead of seven, with a private view of the exhibition running from seven till eight and the actual party from 8pm till Midnight with:

SATURDAY THE 29th. OFF MODERN AND KRUGER MAGAZINE.

This is now at Barden's Boudoir on Kingsland Road, Dalston. It will run from 8pm till 4am, and is now only Five Pounds instead of Seven, with:

CASIOKIDS
IT HUGS BACK
SUPER TENNIS

BRADLEY ZERO
FEEDING TIME
OFF MODERN DJS
+ SPECIAL GUESTS

Unfortunately there will be no SEINE presence at Vibe Bar on Saturday.

SUNDAY THE 30TH

We are now running this event across two venues.

BACKYARD RECORDS PRESENTS is now at the Old Blue Last, from 8pm, and is Four Pounds with:

TEENAGERS IN TOKYO
PUBLICIST
DOLLOP


NIGHT SLUGS CARNIVAL AFTER PARTY is still at Vibe Bar and will be held upstairs. It is Five Pounds, running from 8pm till 3am, with:

MAC10.

During the day we are pleased to announce we will be running a free acoustic stage featuring some very special performances, clown troops and bands. The running times are:

3.15 - THE SAUDIS

Despite the changes to the order of events, South East in East is guaranteed to be a superb festival and a perfect alternative for anyone not enjoying the carnival activities in the west of London this weekend.
