The Raincoats, Misson of Burma and The Fiery Furnaces Play next year's Pavement ATP

So there we were, thinking that the whole Pavement re-uniting, playing and curating next year’s ATP had finally sunk in, when BAM! The band only go and announce 21 new acts for the festival, cementing it firmly into the 'sell-your-gran-you-need-this' category.
Stand-outs on the list includes sets from original post punk giants The Raincoats and the rather excellent Mission of Burma, as well as promised visits from eclectic indie rock legends Calexico, iconic New Zealand indie boys The Clean, Broken Social Scene and experimental New York cool kids Fiery Furnaces.
Being massive noise pop addicts, we’re excited to see the likes of Sic Alps also on the bill, and our bearded friends will no doubt be stoked that Wooden Shjips, Blitzen Trapper and Wildbirds and Peacedrums (who we saw playing with something like 14 drummers recently), will also be taking various stages in the massive fun-complex that is Butlin’s Minehead resort.
If that doesn’t make you want to sign up for a credit card, we don’t know what will.

Pavement Curate ATP takes place 14.14 May 2010 at Butlin's holiday
camp in Minehead, Somerset.
