Tori Amos will play a free, solo show at the London Jazz Cafe on December 2nd in support of her new album, 'Midwinter Graces' which is due for a pre Christmas release. Fans will have to queue for tickets at HMV Oxford Street on the day.

This is an amazing opportunity to see a truly majestic performer in an intimate setting. Tori Amos deserves to be ranked among the finest singer songwriters of any generation. Lucky ticket holders can expect plenty of old favourites along with the new material, and characteristic repartee.

Tori Amos is of course, best known for 'Cornflake Girl', but she's so much more than that. Her skills on the piano are like Hendrix on guitar, and rockers who know their stuff rate her lyrics and composition among the best ever. Other rockers who really, really know their stuff say she's like a polished Kate Bush, but the influence is acknowledged and we really are going to start throwing punches at the next person who says that.

HMV opens its doors at 8am for the wristband giveaway, with one wristband per person, first come first served. By our reckoning this means you need to be there slightly before 8am, although a handful of show off dorks will no doubt camp on the pavement.
