World Cup fever hits west London as Shepherd's Bush Pavilion is turned into a football Mecca

That’s right ladies and gentlemen (perhaps more gentlemen?). The Shepherd's Bush Pavilion is being turned into a football terrace of old from June 11th – July 11th as the World Cup party rolls into South Africa.

A huge all-seater arena with a massive 16-metre HD screen and full surround sound will be showing games throughout the tournament, giving a second-to-none view of the world's most sought-after sporting prize. No complaints at been stuck in a corner or behind the tall guy here.

A multitude of bars – serving the usual fare alongside world-inspired cocktails – and food – with an outdoor barbeque and food thematically tailored to the tournament's countries – will be available for carnival revellers. DJs follow the games spinning party tunes until late, with the likes of Stanton Warriors, The Nextmen and Crazy P all on the bill.

England’s first game takes place on June 12th and is followed by sets from The Nextmen, Stanton Warriors and Lazersonic who keep the carnival rocking until 2.30am. Other highlights include England’s group game against Algeria on June 18th, which is followed by Crazy P, Tayo and Simon Busby, with games for Australia, South Africa and Brazil all being shown.

Tickets can be bought from the carnival's site www.worldcupcarnival2010.com and with competitions, giveaways and what looks like the biggest football showing screen in London, you’d be mad to miss out.
