Batman Lives comes to O2 Arena

As if Christian Bale hadn't done him enough damage, Batman is soon to appear in live theatre shows held at arena sized venues across the UK. Batman Live the World Arena Tour endorsed by DC Comics will kick off in July 2011 in Manchester and arrive at London's O2 Arena from 27th August to 4th September. If you get a good seat, this show will be awesome.

Shocking though it may be, Batman didn't make it into our list of West End Shows we'd like to see but we're assured that the touring Batman Live is not a musical. Rather it's "a high quality live show with a thrilling Batman story, filled with action, that will appeal to adults, teenagers and families," so said Nick Grace of Water Lane Productions Ltd who along with Warner Bros. Consumer Prodcuts and DC Entertainment are behind the extravagant show.

"With the touring Batman Love show, we're bringing Batman's adventures to live audiences for the very first time," said Geoff Johns, Chief Creative Officer, DC Entertainment.

Jim Lee, Co-Publisher of DC Comics said: "When a character has as wide an audience and as rich a history as Batman, it's truly exciting to see him introduced into an all-new storytelling medium. Batman Love will bring a completely new experience to fans of the character - it's great to be able to give them something they haven't seen before."

Tickets will go on sale from Friday 12th November. For more information see the Batman Live offical website
