Based on the iconic 80s film, Flashdance The Musical takes up residence at Shaftesbury Theatre - What a Feeling!

Based on the 1983 box office smash, Flashdance The Musical will run at Shaftesbury Theatre from 24th September 2010 following Hairspray. Bookings for Flashdance are currently being taken for dates until 26th February 2011.
Writer of the screenplay Tom Hedley has collaborated with Robert Cary to recreate the romantic story of 18 year old Alex, bored welder by day, talented dancer by night who after encouragement from her mentor, pursues her dreams of becoming a ballerina.
Flashdance The Musical is produced by Christopher Malcolm and David Ian whose collective credits include Grease, La Cage Aux Folles,The Producers,The Sound of Music and The Rocky Horror Show. Choreography will be provided by Arlene Phillips of Strictly Come Dancing and BBC 1's So You Think You Can Dance with music by Robbie Roth. The show will be directed by the man behind Noel Coward’s Hay Fever at Chichester Festival Theatre, the national tour of The Witches of Eastwick, Nikolai Foster.
