Former Blue member is set to join the cast of Sister Act for their second summer at London Palladium.

Simon Webbe, former member of chart topping boy band Blue will join the cast of West End smash hit Sister Act from Monday 31st May.
Simon will play alongside Sheila Hancock - currently making her presence felt on BBC's Over The Rainbow - and Patina Miller. Having sold in excess of thirteen million records worldwide with Blue and released two successful solo albums, Webbe will now take to the stage at London Palladium in the Swarovski-sponsored musical comedy playing Deloris' bad-boy lover Curtis Shanks.
Of his impending West End debut, he said "I knew from the minute the curtain went up and the band kicked in that this was a show I wanted to be in. The audition process was nerve-wracking of course, but it just made me more determined to get the part. I've performed to thousands and thousands of people with Blue, but to be playing this role, on stage at the London Palladium is going to be something else completely, and I'm honoured to be doing it opposite Patina, Sheila and this brilliant company. I literally can't wait!"
Sister Act will remain at London Palladium for a second summer this year, welcoming a number of new cast members. Despite a hectic schedule, Sheila Hancock remains excited about the extended run, she said “I'm as passionate about Sister Act today as the day we opened. Whilst it's fair to say I've got a pretty busy schedule at the moment, and this is probably the last long run I'll do, when the opportunity arose to continue performing with this wonderful company, I knew I couldn't really turn it down. Here's to our second summer at the London Palladium."
Also set to join the cast are Jacqueline Clarke, Lauren Appleby, Kiara Jay, Rachel John, Aaron Lambert, Ellie Leah, Amanda Minihan, Grant Murphy, Nathaniel Morrison, Ashley Russell and Carrie Sutton.
