The Offies Extend Voting Deadline

The Offies Extend Voting Deadline

21 January, 2011
by: Spoonfed Theatre Team

Simon Russell Beale and Alex Jennings will join Simon Callow on stage at The Offies (and we've got tickets!). Voting will now close on 14th February.

Theatregoers! You now have until 14th February to cast you votes in the most fringe-friendly awards ever. The Off West End Theatre Awards aim to highlight the talent that's constantly displayed in plays on the London fringe scene and they're giving you a few extra weeks to make your voice heard.

Running alongside the critics' choice awards are the people's choice awards and this is where you come in. If you're yet to pick your favourites and cast your votes, you've got until Valentine's Day.

At the moment, topping the people's choice are Hayley Emma Otway for best female performance in High Society at Upstairs at The Gatehouse, followed closely by Jessie Cave in Breed at Theatre 503. Alan Richardson is topping the best male nominees for his performance in Pirates of Penzance at Wilton's Music Hall, followed by Russell Morton in Bent at The Tabard.

The terribly exclusive awards ceremony will be held on on 27th February at Wilton's Music Hall. Alex Jennings and Simon Russell Beale are among the throng of celebrity presenters joining host Simon Callow in this invitation only event. If you're desperate to get your hands on tickets, we've got two pairs to give away! Click here for how to win.
