Eric Van Peterson designs exclusive jewellery to support Shatterbox Theatre production Fair Trade.

Jewellery designer Eric Van Peterson has created a limited edition bracelet exclusively for Shatterbox Theatre company as their new production Fair Trade prepares to open with previews at Latitude Festival.

The show's executive producer Emma Thompson has said “I am extremely proud to be involved. I believe we need as much art as we can get to help people understand what’s going on out there.” In offering to design and put his name to the bracelet Van Peterson will help to spread the word, highlight the cause and bring new audiences to theatre.

Fair Trade will play from 22nd-25th July at London's Rich Mix before it opens at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Combining art, fashion and theatre to raise awareness of the realities of the sex trade, Van Peterson has created a dark leather bracelet with semi-precious stones and a silver disc. His creations – often worn by the likes of Cher, David Bowie, Goldie Hawn, Yasmin Le Bon, Michael Douglas and Ringo Starr – usually retail at around £130 but those who want to support the cause can make donations of between £30 and £50 for the bracelet. All proceeds will go towards touring Fair Trade to raise awareness and engage new audiences. See the Shatterbox website for more details.
