So. Many. Festivals. Going to Camden Fringe? Here are the 5 shows we recommend.

Wake
A dose of Irish comedy that sees a pair of old school friends reunited only to realise that each has robbed the other in some dark way. Be it stealing love or livelihood these guys have thoroughly screwed each other and it's about to implode at the worst time.

Queen For A Day
This is one of those quiz shows for people who are completely bonkers. But you might feel bad for judging them too harshly, especially the lonely housewife one. She's indulging herself in the idea of being adored to get away from the horrors of her past.

The Cat with Hands
Dark stories and old folklore told with an eerie appreciation for the fantasical. The central story is about a cat who wants to be human. And you though the Cravendale advert was freaky.

Bowlypics
A quartet take up their violins and what have you to present/gently mock grand sportsmanship through singing, dancing and playing their instruments simultaneously . A small spectacle by a group of highly talented jokers calling themselves Bowjangles.

Coin-Operated Girl
This sounds a little grim but is probably great. Melody spent 7 years as a £2000 a night escort while she weighed over 300lbs. In her show, she recalls the oddly sweet moments alongside the utterly bizarre ones and her experiences as a sex worker present something quite new about the human experience.

Camden Fringe Festival runs at various venues from 30th July - 26th August.
