Comics and entertainers go head to head at the 10th Loaded LAFTA awards

The Loaded LAFTAs is back for its 10th year anniversary and this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than any that had come before it, with an award ceremony that boasts a bumper crop of 16 nominations and a shortlist that recognises an impressive breadth of last year’s comedic talents.
In the spirit of tradition, this year’s nominations span the entire cross section of show business society, taking in the good, the tanned and the ugly. Britain’s favourite reality-show sobber and fake tan applier Ryan Clarke is in the running for Funniest TV Personality as well as Funniest Double Act alongside X Factor nemesis Gary Barlow. Also battling it out for Funniest Double Act are talked about team-mates of the year James Corden and Jack Whitehall.
Student comedy Fresh Meat has three nominations for Funniest TV Show, with actresses Kimberly Nixon and Zawe Ashton both in the running for Funniest Female Comedienne.
Going head to head for the accolade of Funniest Radio Show are BBC Radio 1’s Greg James and Matt Edmonsonm while LAFTA mainstay Keith Lemon is up for the Funniest Panel Show award.
A new addition to the short list is cockney joker Danny Dyer, whose tweets have garnered him a nomination for Funniest Tweeter, competing against the likes of Danny Boyle and Joey Barton.
The much coveted Best Joke award will be nominated by Loaded readers who can cast their votes now via the Loaded website.
