Sketch quartet The Beta Males regain their founder member.

Sketch-storytellers The Beta Males have announced today that founding member, Adam Blampied, will return to perform with the group after taking a two year absence to attend LAMDA.
Though he was absent in a performance capacity, Blampied still wrote with the Betas and contributed to both of their previous Edinburgh Fringe shows, The Train Job and The Space Race. He also wrote the script for Eugene, a comedy directed by Spencer Susser (Hesher), which was one of the winners of Four Stories, a screenwriting competition overseen by Roman Coppola.
When asked about Blampied's return to the sketch troupe, the Betas commented:
"It is with fear and suspicion that we welcome sketch-traitor, Adam Blampied back into the group. We hope that his crawling back will not lead to our eventual destruction. Judas."
To which Blampied responded:
"Much like Vin Diesel returning to revitalise the ailing Fast & The Furious franchise, I am confident I shall prove myself the final nail in the coffin...of the Beta Males' inevitable rise to comedy stardom."
The Beta Males’ first reunion performances will take place at the Pleasance Theatre. Tonight they’ll perform as part of Miranda Hennesy’s Hennessey and Friends’ Sketchy Nights showcase and on the 31st of January they will be appearing Sketchtacular! A benefit for Kidney Research UK, along with The Boy With Tape on His Face, Idiots of Ants and many more.
They’ll also be making their return to Edinburgh later this year with their brand new, comic book-influenced epic, Superopolis, which they have modestly described their latest work as being “balls-out amazing”.
