The comedian and BUG presenter joins Edith Bowman on a new Radio 6 Show.

Comedian Adam Buxton will be back on our radio waves this winter, as as he returns to BBC 6 Music with a brand new broadcasting partner - Edith Bowman. The Adam and Edith Show will go out on Saturday mornings for seven weeks from mid-November, from 10am-1pm, until Christmas.
This will come as welcome news to fans of Dr Buckles, whose popular BBC 6 radio show The Adam and Joe Show (also featuring school friend and comedy partner Joe Cornish) drew to a close in June 2011, so that the pair could concentrate on personal projects. This summer saw the launch of Buxton's TV adaptation of his live music video show BUG on Sky Atlantic, while Joe Cornish directed last year's comedy sci-fi film Attack the Block, and is currently adapting Neal Stephenson's 1992 cyberpunk novel Snow Crash for the big screen.
Adam Buxton said: “I've missed being on the radio so I'm delighted 6 Music have let me back into the Big British Castle for a few weeks, albeit without Joe who is busy slaving in a dream factory somewhere. To stop me from shrivelling up with loneliness Edith Bowman is going to join me which I'm very excited about as she's intelligent, professional, Scottish and a woman; qualities I value highly and in which Joe was almost entirely lacking. I just hope she doesn't mind occasional shouting and stupidity.”
"I'm a big fan of 6Music and what it stands for so I am really excited to be joining the team and to be working with Adam," added Edith Bowman. It's going to be incredible fun although I know I will have my work cut out trying to keep up with Adam's dance moves.”
The Adam and Edith Show will start transmission on 17 November, at 10am.
