Angel Comedy @ Camden Head
Saturdays, 8pm
This club (located on Camden Passage) has been pulling in some great line-ups of late. Many performers tend to be BBC, Hackney Empire, and Amused Moose New Act of the Year finalists and there is usually a big name headliner thrown into the mix. Previous acts have included Tony Law, Trevor Lock, Simon Munnery, Abandoman and Nick Helm.
Tom Webb's Party Piece @ Shaker & Company
Tuesdays, 8pm
Tom Webb is one of the stalwarts of the London circuit, compering and performing at some of the best clubs around. He also runs a cracking weekly variety night, which is open to pretty much anything as long as it's funny. Expect one man bands, stand-ups, magic, dance, snake charmers... you get the idea.
Lewis Schaffer is Free Until Famous @ The Source Below
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8pm
Held every Tuesday and Wednesday in the downstairs bar of Soho's Source Cafe, this is now the longest running solo show in London. Expect anything from biting social and political satire to self-destruction and self-regeneration from the contentious New York comic. He promises to keep it free until he's famous.
Weirdos Comedy @ The Lion
Second and fourth Tuesday of the month, 8pm
For those seeking something a little different, Weirdos is an alternative comedy where acts are encouraged to perform material deemed too experimental for most gigs. Sleeping bag escapology, singing hoovers and aubergine races have all taken place so far so go with an open mind and let the madness commence!
Set Up...Punchline Comedy @ Archangel
Mondays, 8pm
This Monday night comedy club in Kensington was originally a monthly affair, but due to popular demand it's gone weekly. Catch some of the best up-and-coming and established names on the circuit performing new material from 2011 Edinburgh 'Best Newcomer' nominee Josh Widdicombe to Russell Howard's Good News star Joel Dommett.
