The comedy stars finish filming their latest project together.

Brydon and Coogan in A Cock and Bull Story

Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon are to team up for a new screen role together - playing versions of themselves. The pair are to star in a new BBC2 series called The Trip where they will tour the Lake District and review restaurants.

In a recent blog post Brydon said: "Four weeks of filming in some of the best restaurants in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales has left me 8lbs heavier.  8lbs!!!  A whole baby.  This new delivery of fat has been deposited almost exclusively to my belly, or as I call it, the meat packing district.

I’ve not laughed so much in ages.  I think it goes out in the summer, I’ll let you know when I know."

Directed by Michael Winterbottom, who also directed the pair in the 2005 comedy film A Cock and Bull Story, the series will again feature the pair playing loose versions of themselves or as Brydon puts it: "I don’t mean us with no morals, I mean us but slightly different."
