Fabio Capello's team win the Loaded LAFTAs award for behaving like jokers.

The England football team have been awarded the 'Jokers of the Year' title by the Loaded LAFTAs Awards.

After a disastrous World Cup performance and off-field sexploits which dominated news headlines last year, the England squad have now inherited Alex 'Roxanne' Reid's 'joker' crown from 2009.

Particular quotes from the team were given by Loaded as examples of further risible behaviour, including:

“Nice to hear your own fans booing you. That’s loyal support.” Wayne Rooney thanking England fans for travelling 5,500 miles to watch them after England draw 0-0 with Algeria.

“I hate England and the f**king people”, Ashley Cole endearing himself to the British public yet further, just before the World Cup starts.

“I say thank you very much for helping me at the World Cup, but probably he is a little bit old.” Fabio Capello briefing the globe on live TV before letting Becks know he’ll never play for him again.

Loaded
Editor Andy Sherwood said: “The ability to laugh at ourselves is perhaps one of our nation’s most endearing qualities, so there’s no better way to salute England's football flops than presenting them with the ‘Jokers of the Year’ award.”

Comedy fans can continue to vote in the 2011 Loaded Laftas until Monday 31st January.
