South London's biggest comedy festival is back and it's moved to July.

The line-up for the 2012 Greenwich Comedy Festival has been announced with headliners including Sean Lock, Reginald D Hunter, Mark Watson, Rich Hall and Shappi Khorsandi performing in the Big Top tent.
This year the festival will take place in July, instead of the first week of September, as part of the new Greenwich Summer Festival, a 40-day festival featuring dance, music, art, theatre, comedy, Big Screen Olympics & Film events, running from 4th July-12th August.
“It has always been our dream to expand the comedy festival to include more art forms such as music, dance and film," said Cass Briggs, Festival Producer. "We’ve always been very open about the inspiration we take from arts festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Olympics have provided the perfect opportunity to give this a go.”
Held in the stunning grounds of the Old Royal Naval College, the comedy will run for eight days from Friday 13th July-Friday 20th July. This year sees the introduction of a Little Top tent, a more intimate cabaret space nestled among the trees, featuring an array of acclaimed solo shows from the likes of Robin Ince, Isy Suttie, John Shuttleworth and Jerry Sadowitz.
