The BBC Three star announces a new show set to tour the UK next year.

Hot on the heels of his BBC Three programme's astounding success, Russell Howard is set to embark on a new arena tour next year.

The Russell Howard's Good News star will perform at some of the country's biggest venues, including the O2, in his new show, Right Here, Right Now, which will commence touring in spring 2011.

It may seem a touch early, but tickets for the tour will in fact go on sale at the end of this week to the general public, and on Wednesday to fans registered through the comedian's website.

Still, perhaps it's not so unwarranted when you consider that Good News was the most requested BBC Three programme on iPlayer last year and its most successful studio-based show ever, drawing in ratings of around 2.5 million a week.

As well as his own show, Howard's also a regular on BBC Two's flagship comedy show Mock the Week, and has twice appeared on BBC One's Live at the Apollo. There's no doubt he's got the comic chops to pull off another successful arena tour after last year's Big Rooms and Belly Laughs was a sell-out on all 10 dates, so if you've got a spare mo on Friday, do snap up some tickets. Just make sure you don't forget you've bought them by next year.

If you’re on O2 you can get Priority Tickets to see Russell Howard at the O2 next year. Tickets on sale now. Terms apply.
