Wordplay aplenty as Walkers launch comedian-inspired crisps

You'll soon be able to get a taste of your favourite comedians in a literal sense, as Stephen Fry, Jimmy Carr, Al Murray and Frank Skinner have lent their names to new crisps flavours to help raise money for Red Nose Day.

Walker's 'Clash of the Comics' campaign calls for the public to vote for their favourite of the comedian-inspired flavours: Stephen Fry Up, Steak And Al Pie, Frank Roast Dinner and Jimmy Con Carrne.

Walkers is donating 5p from each sale of specially marked packs to Red Nose Day.

The official website features entertaining snippets of each of the comedians mocking their competitors.

"Al Murray talks tough, but is as manly as a knitting pattern. I hope Jimmy Carr's crisps have more taste than his jokes," writes Fry.

As an extra incentive to pull fans on board, the comedians behind the three least favourite crisp flavours will each receive a full body wax (ouch!) by a mystery celebrity when the campaign closes on March 18.
