Malcolm Tucker tongue-tied? The Thick Of It special is put on hold.

Armando Iannucci’s plans of an election night The Thick of It special have been thrown into question, after concerns were raised about the current election uncertainty affecting the show’s trenchant satire.
Talking to The Sun yesterday, James Smith - who plays political advisor Glenn Cullen - explained how, "Armando wanted to do an election special but we thought that it would look foolish if we got the wrong party. We thought we could do different endings and end it on that night but that wouldn't work logistically...then we thought, what's the point of doing that and missing the point that the show is so politically astute?"
Howvever, Ianucci himself has since scotched rumours by annoucing on his Twitter page that "nothing's been discussed yet."
Whether the special goes ahead or not it surely won't be long before series 4 is worming it's way down the pipeline in the new political year - it picked up another award at the South Bank show on Tuesday.
