US comic sells out debut London run using one tweet

Rob Delaney becomes fastest selling US performer at the Soho Theatre.



US comic Rob Delaney, has sold out his debut UK show at the Soho Theatre using a single tweet.

Tickets for his October shows were officially due to go on sale yesterday but fans had access to a special promotional code that Delaney released on Friday through Twitter. All 900 seats then proceeded to sell out within the hour, making him the fastest selling US performer in the venue's history.  

Delaney won the 2012 award for 'Funniest Person on Twitter' at the second annual Comedy Central Comedy Awards in the US and has nearly 500,000 followers on the site. He lives in LA and  regularly performs stand-up at the top comedy venues in Los Angeles, New York and various comedy clubs across the US.
