by: Street Team

London Fashion Week is a bi-annual display of the newest and up-and-coming trends. It's one of the best places to discover what clothes, shoes, bags, accessories and designers will be considered hot or not in the coming months.

Hundreds of designers showcase their talents throughout the week with their ready-to-wear collections for athe season ahead. February 2009 - the 25th anniversary of LFW - saw catwalk shows from fashion icons John Rocha, Charles Anastase, Vivienne Westwood, Julien Macdonald, Jasper Conran, and Paul Smith. In addition to the fashion heavyweights , a number of up-and-coming designers are also always in attendance, showcasing their own collections and accessories.

As well as the catwalk shows there is also an exhibition open to trade, press and public at the Natural History Museum.

This open plan allows visitors to preview the couture shows before entering the various exhibitions. The exclusive London Fashion Week focuses the fashion spotlight on London for a single week but for those fashionistas who can't get enough of fashion all year round, check out Fashion Exhibitions in London.
