by: Tom Jeffreys

Every Monday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Tom Jeffreys selects his top three exhibitions.

Salon

Wednesday 10th February
Future Human @ The Book Club
Conceived by the ever-innovative peeps at Bad Idea magazine, Future Human seeks to revivify the idea of the intellectual salon. Clever thoughts, pretty people, and strong booze: could anything be better?

From Thursday 11th February

Edel Assanti Project Space launches
Ambitious pop-up arts venue Edel Assanti Project Space opens this week with three separate exhibitions across the three galleries housed in the space. The idea is to bring the East End contemporary art scene to central London.

From Friday 12th February
Marco Sanges @ Hackney Empire
Gavin Turk and Michael Nyman are launching this exhibition of elaborately grandiose images by Italian photographer Marco Sanges. A feeling of fantasy and wish fulfilment lingers in the background of these works which blur the boundaries of artistic haute culture with human sexuality and exhibitionism.
