Every Monday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Tom Jeffreys selects his top three exhibitions.

From Wednesday 12th January
Edward Burtynsky @ Flowers Central
Edward Burtynsky's highly detailed and razor sharp photography generally focuses on places where human activity interrupts the existence of nature: quarries, industrial refineries and shipyards, for example. This exhibition at Flowers Central consists of images of the recent gulf oil slick: the balance between human detritus and vast blank nature is an extraordinary one.
From Thursday 13th January
Future Map @ Zabludowicz Collection
University of the Arts London celebrates its new graduating talent with this exhibition at Zabludowicz Collection. It features a number of artists' work in an interactive show, with performance, participation, sculptue and installation. It serves as a platform for emerging talent, awarding one artist the Zabludowicz Future Map Prize.
From Saturday 15th January
Loose Joints @ Arcade
We love Arcade - their exhibitions just always seem to appeal to our love of conceptual rigour allied with a detailed, pseudo-scientific aesthetic, and this one, Loose Joints, looks no different. Featuring three contemporary artists, the exhibition explores ideas around reproduction, originality, fragmentation and the specificity of the object/work of art.
