Regency Architecture, Shire Horses, Maps - Editor's Choice, Exhibitions

by: Tom Jeffreys

Every Friday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week to come. Tom Jeffreys selects his top three exhibitions.

Pablo Bronstein

From Thursday 9th June
Pablo Bronstein @ ICA
This summer Pablo Bronstein is taking over the whole of the John Nash-designed Carlton House with a series of Regency-inspired architectural interventions, choreographed art and ballet performances. Bronstein is the kind of artist who works across a wide range of media, with pretty bonkers results, but it's always rooted in research and nuanced historical detail.

From Friday 10th June
Katie Louise Surridge @ EB&Flow
A first London solo show for hotly tipped contemporary artist Katie Louise Surridge at the recently opened EB&Flow gallery in Shoreditch. Expect darkly weird mixed media installations featuring all manner of unusual objects: tobacco clay pipes, Shire horse collars, basketball hoops, animal hides...

From Saturday 11th June
London Map Fair @ Royal Geographical Society
Uh oh! This looks ace. Taking place at the Royal Geographical Society this June, the London Map Fair sees around 40 national and international antiquarian map dealers come together to exhibit their wares – expect pieces from the 15th century to the 20th, with prices ranging from as little as £10 to as much as £100,000.
