Schiele, Farmer, Nutter - Editor's Choice, Exhibitions

Every Friday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week to come. Tom Jeffreys selects his top three exhibitions.

Egon Schiele

From Thursday 19th May
Egon Schiele @ Richard Nagy
40 unseen works by brilliant Austrian artist Egon Schiele are unveiled this May at Richard Nagy's recently opened Old Bond Street gallery space. After featuring in recent exhibitions at the Royal Academy and Wellcome Collection as well as being the subject of a brilliant play about his life at Arcola Theatre, Schiele is once again at the forefront of our minds. And rightly so; this should be a seriously exciting show.

From Friday 20th May
Tessa Farmer @ Danielle Arnaud
Tessa Farmer – probably my favourite artist in London right now. She uses bits of organic materials - leaves, roots and dead insects - to create tiny macabre sculptures and unsettling dioramas. Simultaneously beautiful and horrible. This summer she has her first solo show with Danielle Arnaud, featuring new sculptural works and animation – I basically couldn't be more excited.

From Friday 20th May
Tommy Nutter @ Fashion & Textile Museum
Combining traditional Savile Row tailoring techniques, with forward-thinking designs, Tommy Nutter was an institution. Backed by Cilla Black, Nutters kitted out the likes of Mick Jagger, Elton John and, most famously, three of the four Beatles for the cover of 'Abbey Road'. This year the Fashion and Textile Museum pays tribute to a tailoring legend.
