Get down for a good cause.

As numerous events and concerts have shown in recent history, music has the undeniable ability to unite people for a worthy cause. The tragic events which have unfolded in Japan over the last week have therefore prompted a selection of London's finest DJs to get together for a one-off fundraiser at Shoreditch's Plastic People this Friday.
'A Dance For Japan' will include sets from Leo Zero, Faze Action, Ashley Beedle, Yam Who?, The Cosmic Truth, Toni Rossano, Toru Yo, and Andy Newcombe, all of whom have some connection with the country either through friends, family or work. It's a hugely impressive line-up by any standards, and each of the DJs are giving up their time for free.
Organiser Andy Newcome says, “Having spent a lot of time in Sendai City and Miyagi Prefecture over the past fifteen years and made lots of close friends there, I have to do what I can to help".
Entry will be a £5-10 door donation, which will go to the Japan Red Cross and GlobalGiving. If you can't get down but still want to do your part for this worthy cause, you can donate online here: http://www.justgiving.com/danceforjapan/
