Tom Armstrong takes you through his top three parties for the coming weekend.

Friday 16th September

XOYO's 1st Birthday

XOYO celebrate their first birthday this weekend with a double header over Friday and Saturday. The first leg is the pick for us, with one of the founding fathers of house, Larry Heard, joining the celebrations. He's been phenomenal every time I've seen him, and with Jamie XX alongside, this night should be nothing short of brilliant.

Saturday 17th September

Krankbrother Roof Party

Krankbrother have been laying down a series of roof parties this summer with immense success. This is the final smashdown in the series. The formula is a winner. Sunshine house and techno on the roof from 2pm, followed by a rave in the hours of darkness downstairs. Tonight's edition features Hot Creations' new boy Manik who we're tipping for big things in the near future - now's the time to catch him live.

Lasermagnetic present: John Morales

When do you ever get the chance to see a DJ who played at Studio 54 in modern day Shoreditch? Very very rarely is the answer, so this opportunity to catch the legendary John Morales at The Horse and Groom should not be missed.

Not only was he a regular DJ on New York's legendary 70s and 80s nightlife scene, but he's also a dab hand in the studio, producing around 350 tunes (record hunters look out for the trademark 'M&M mix' on the label).
