Tom Armstrong picks his top three coolest, quirkiest and downright awesomest events from the week ahead.

Wednesday 21st March

Bedtime Stories @ 40 Winks

Professional storytellers read to guests at this quirky event set in the home of interior designer David Carter.

The dress code is pyjamas, and the theme is 'Adventures in Adultery', with decadent performances providing the entertainment. A bit like an x-rated Jackanory.

Thursday 22nd March
Underground Rebel Bingo Club @ Secret Location

The Rebel Bingo revolution has now spread to twenty five cities across the globe. It’s hard to explain what happens – it’s bingo – sort of – but this is Rebel Bingo. It’s loud, there are DJs, dancing, drinking, and a stage show. The club rules are simple - no old people, no boring people. Probably best not to take your Nan (not that she's old or boring).

Saturday 24th March
Vintage Furniture Flea @ York Hall

Organized by the people behind Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair, this furniture flea market should be the first stop for those looking to swerve the IKEA bandwagon.

With traders coming from all over the UK, expect to see barware and kitchenalia, cameras, record players and radios, cocktail glasses, lampshades, mirrors, toys, and telephones. I could probably go on all day, best just get down there and see for yourself.
